                                               Who are we

Our Maison Louis Victor is situated in Beaune, the capital of Burgundy wines.

We are two oenologist sisters who qualified at the Dijon faculty (1982-1996 national oenology diploma, degree in vine sciences). After more than 25 years as winemaking oenologists and technical director in the Burgundy trade, we have created our own winehouse in the heart of this vineyard where we were born.

                                               Why the name LOUIS VICTOR

Our passion for this trade comes from our Grandpa, (Vittorio Luigi - LOUIS VICTOR) an Italian imigrant from Veneto, who came to Volnay (a small village on the hills of Beaune) in 1948 and who for 30 years looked after the vineyard he managed with lots of care and love. He passed on to us his respect for the ground and passion for this job.

In his memory, we have named our winehouse after him.

                                               What  our strength does

In Burgundy, vineyards differs from other French wine regions by its extreme division of land and multiplicity of its "place names", climates* and land owners. Here more than anywhere, nature, land and the human touch have major importance for the quality of the wines.

As oenologists, we are involved with about twenty wine estates that we have selected for the seriousness of their work both with the vine and in the warehouse. Throughout these thirty years in the profession, we have been conscious to weave special and trusting relationships with the local viticulture. We offer our clients all our knowledge of Burgundy viticulture, our experience and our skills as winemaking oenologists : we offer wines of excellence which reflect all the surprising and rich diversity of Burgundy wines.

Authenticity, traditional characteristics and a demand for quality are the foundations of our philosophy. In Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits and Côte chalonnaise, we select estates that respond to these demands.

Our technical and human partnerships with our estates and our participation in all the important stages of the wine's life explains the excellence of our selection of Burgundy wines and allows us to satisfy our most demanding clients.
