Domaine de Cauvy - Faugères
Languedoc-Roussillon
Situated in the heart of the appellation Faugères, the domaine de Cauvy, faces the Mediterranean Sea and leans against the Cévennes. The vineyard spreads over 24 hectars of schisteous terraces, superficially eroded, with colour variations from blue to rust. This diversity of the soil, as well as its windswept and sunny exposure make the singularity of this Cuvée. Philippe Cauvy has taken up this family estate created in 1944 by his grandfather, Emilien Cauvy, in the village of Faugères. He does not stop to contribute his know-how and talent towards the full potential of this difficult terroir. His wine is a homage to the work that is being accomplished for many years. The Cuvée “Le Malpas” rewards him for his hard labour.
