Welcome to Saint-Emilion! Established at the end of the 19th century, the estate has always remained a family property. It was enlarged by my grandfather, Pierre-Henri Descrambe, who passed his love of vines down to me. I have been working it since 1971. The estate today covers 36 hectares: - 7 hectares in the Saint-Emilion appellation, where low yields and a good terroir allow us to obtain dense, complex wines, with very tender tannins: Saint-Emilion Haut-Renaissance Saint-Emilion grand cru Château Les Gravières Saint-Emilion grand cru Lynsolence -29 hectares in the Bordeaux appellation, where an excellent terroir near Saint-Emilion gives us wines with great finesse: Bordeaux De Lyne Bordeaux Château de la Cour d’Argent Bordeaux Clairet De Lyne It is only possible to make a good wine if you have meticulously prepared the vine to give good grapes. Our growing methods are therefore exacting in order to achieve complete ripeness. Our wine making procedures have as their sole aim to obtain the best expression of our ripe and healthy grapes so that they translate the personality of our rich terroir. Since 1998, our Lynsolence wine, named by my daughter Sandra who also designed the label, has been the perfect symbol of the search for depth and finesse that goes into all our wines. Denis Barraud
